Can you rise to the rank of the Sorcerer Supreme? A thrilling new limited-time mode called Sanctum Showdown has just launched in Marvel Snap, and it's set to shake up the gameplay for the next two weeks. This event introduces a fresh competitive edge with a unique win condition, a special Sanctum location, and innovative snapping mechanics that will keep you on your toes.
In Marvel Snap's Sanctum Showdown mode, the traditional game format is turned on its head. Instead of playing until the sixth turn, the first player to reach 16 points claims victory. The spotlight is on the Sanctum location, which awards the highest points each turn, making it the key to success. Snapping in this mode is transformed; starting from turn three, you can snap once per turn to boost the Sanctum's value by one point, ensuring that the game's momentum is constantly shifting.
Each match entry costs one Scroll, but a win rewards you with another, keeping the excitement alive. You begin with 12 Scrolls and receive two more every eight hours. Should you run out, you can always purchase additional Scrolls for 40 Gold. Regardless of the match's outcome, every game contributes to your Sorcerer Rank and earns you Charms. These Charms can be redeemed in the Sanctum Shop for exclusive cosmetics or new cards, enhancing your collection.
Strategizing with cards like Captain Marvel or Dracula won't work in this mode, as some cards and locations are banned to ensure fair play. Abilities that affect final outcomes are disabled, and cards such as Debrii have been removed to prevent any one-sided strategies. If you're eyeing cards like Laufey, Gorgon, and Uncle Ben, Sanctum Showdown is your exclusive opportunity to acquire them before they become available in the Token Shop on March 13th. Through Portal Pulls, you have the chance to unlock these cards for free, along with up to four Series 4 or 5 cards.
Mark your calendars: Sanctum Showdown will be available in Marvel Snap until March 11th. For more details and updates, don't forget to visit the official website.
