In the dynamic world of Monster Hunter Now, Niantic is rolling out an exciting new feature for testing called Monster Outbreaks. They're eager to gather player feedback to refine it before its official launch. So, what's the scoop on this thrilling event?
When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?
Mark your calendars! The Monster Outbreaks testing phase will run from April 26th to April 27th, offering a thrilling two-hour window each day. You can dive into the action twice daily on both Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and again from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., local time.
During these outbreaks, specific locations on the map will be teeming with 8-star Black Diablos. Your mission? Team up with fellow hunters to take down a staggering 100 Black Diablos at each outbreak point within that one-hour window. Remember, this goal applies to each individual outbreak spot, not globally across all players!
To join the fray, you'll need to be at least HR 11. Note that only in-person group hunts are valid; the party feature won't be available for this event. Outbreak points are clearly marked on the map with a distinctive icon, allowing you to tap and view details. Niantic has thoughtfully added a sign-up roster at each location, so you can coordinate with others on when you'll be ready to hunt.
Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!
The mechanics of this event are intriguing. For instance, if you and three other hunters take down a single Black Diablos, it counts as four towards the target of 100. And here's the kicker: if your group hits the 100-mark before the hour is up, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the hour.
Completing the challenge comes with enticing rewards. If your group successfully slays 100 Black Diablos, you'll earn 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Plus, if you've signed up on the roster, you'll snag a special Outbreak Test I Medal.
Are you excited to join the Monster Outbreaks testing? Head over to the Google Play Store, download Monster Hunter Now, and prepare to hunt over the weekend!
