At the ID@Xbox Showcase event, the team behind Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault unveiled an exciting new trailer, giving fans a sneak peek into the much-anticipated sequel. It was also announced that the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one, with a launch expected before the year's end.
Developed by Digital Sun and published by 11 bit studios, Moonlighter 2 is an isometric action-adventure RPG with roguelike elements. Players will embark on a journey to transform their humble shop into a thriving business by exploring dungeons, collecting rare artifacts, and facing off against formidable creatures.
Digital Sun has promised that Moonlighter 2 builds upon the original game's core, introducing richer narratives and improved gameplay mechanics. The story follows the protagonist, Will, as he searches for his home dimension within the vast world of Trense. Along his journey, Will reconnects with old allies and forms new friendships. His quest leads him to encounter a mysterious trader who assigns him the task of finding powerful relics that could guide him back to his native dimension.
The game's soundtrack is composed by the renowned Chris Larkin, famous for his work on Hollow Knight. Fans can look forward to Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault launching later this year on PC (via Steam), Xbox Series, and PS5.
