Mount Acquisition Guide for Rune Slayer

Before you start dreaming of speeding across the landscapes of Rune Slayer, there are a couple of prerequisites you need to meet:

• Reach level 20: This shouldn't take more than a few hours (around 5-6 hours, or even less if you're playing with friends). Just keep completing Quests, Jobs, and defeating mobs to level up quickly.
• Tame a Pet: You'll receive a quest that teaches you how to tame a pet, but here's the gist:
  • Find an animal you want to tame (such as a Deer, Wolf, or Spider).
  • Attack it once.
  • Hold a food item that the animal likes (Deers enjoy Apples, while Wolves prefer Raw Deer Meat).
  • A Heart will appear above their heads, indicating you're attempting to tame them.
  • If the heart grows fully, the animal will become your pet.
  • If the heart turns black, the taming attempt has failed. Don't worry, just try with another animal.

Once you've achieved both level 20 and tamed a pet, you're ready to proceed to the next step.

Finish the Mount Quest

Upon reaching level 20, Jimmy the Stable Master in Wayshire will offer you a quest. He needs you to deliver a package to the Stable Master in Ashenshire. Accept the "Jimmy's Delivery" quest and head north through Wayshire's northern entrance. Follow the road and climb over the hill into Greatwood Forest. Be cautious not to stray too far, as the mobs here can be challenging. Continue north until you reach Ashenshire, recognizable by the large houses perched on towering trees.

Find a rope to climb up and interact with it to ascend. Once at the top, the first NPC you'll encounter is Madonna the Stable Master. There won't be a quest marker above her, so simply talk to her and select "I have a package for you." She will accept the package. To complete the quest, return to Wayshire by heading south from Ashenshire.

Upon your return, speak to Jimmy the Stable Master (marked by an exclamation point above his head), and he will reward you with a Saddle. Note that the Saddle won't appear in your inventory to prevent accidental loss or sale.

How to mount your pet in Rune Slayer

After obtaining the saddle, summon your pet by holding "T". Approach your pet, and you'll see an option to "Mount." Press "E" to mount your pet. This method works for all mountable pets in the game.
