Hotta Studios' upcoming 3D open-world RPG, Neverness to Everness, is gearing up for its first closed beta test. Unfortunately, this initial test will be exclusive to players in mainland China.
While international fans will miss out on the beta, Gematsu offers a sneak peek at recently revealed lore. The new details expand on the game's blend of humor and the unusual coexistence of the bizarre and ordinary within the game's world, Hetherau. Trailers showcasing the city of Eibon (see below) provide a visual glimpse into this unique setting.
Hotta Studios, a subsidiary of Perfect World (creators of the popular Tower of Fantasy), is venturing into a competitive market. Neverness to Everness, while fitting within the established 3D open-world RPG genre's urban trend, offers a distinctive feature: open-world driving. Players can purchase and customize various vehicles, experiencing realistic crash physics.
The game faces strong competition from titles like MiHoYo's Zenless Zone Zero and NetEase's Ananta (formerly Project Mugen), both of which occupy a similar niche.
