NieR: Automata - Where To Get Warped Wire

NieR: Automata features a vast array of enemies, each potentially dropping unique materials crucial for upgrading your pod and weapons. While many materials are acquired naturally during gameplay, some, like Warped Wire, require targeted farming. This guide pinpoints an efficient location to farm Warped Wire.

Warped Wire Farming Location in NieR: Automata

Warped Wire is a rare drop from stacked bipedal machines. These enemies are infrequent, except for one specific area:

Travel to the Desert Camp access point. Proceed along the path toward the main desert. Before reaching the open desert, you'll traverse mountainous terrain following a pipe, passing through ruins. This section consistently spawns multiple stacked machines, making it ideal for farming.

Focus on the two small clearings near the ruined buildings. The stacked bipedal machines found near these structures offer the best Warped Wire drop rate. You'll typically obtain one or two Warped Wires per clear. Consider equipping a Drop Rate Up plug-in chip to accelerate the process.

Respawning Enemies for Faster Farming:

To maximize efficiency, utilize these enemy respawning methods:

  • Fast Travel: Fast travel to a different location, then return to Desert Camp. This instantly respawns all enemies.
  • Manual Respawn: Running a significant distance away and returning will also respawn enemies, but fast travel is considerably faster.

Chip Recommendations:

Investing in Drop Rate Up chips is highly recommended, as many upgrade materials are machine drops. This strategy proves useful for various upgrade farming endeavors. Movement Speed chips, while offering only minor time savings here, significantly benefit players tackling the game's racing side quests.
