Nintendo has officially unveiled the much-anticipated Nintendo Switch 2, putting an end to the swirling rumors and leaks. While the full details of the 2025 launch will be revealed in an upcoming Nintendo Direct, a brief trailer has given fans a tantalizing glimpse of what to expect. This trailer not only confirmed the new hardware but also teased a brand new Mario Kart game, culminating in the announcement of the highly anticipated Nintendo Direct on April 2, 2025.

"Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2 will air on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, offering a closer look at Nintendo Switch 2, the successor to Nintendo Switch releasing in 2025," Nintendo stated on its official website. The exact broadcast time will be shared on their website and social media platforms at a later date.

Following the comprehensive reveal during the Nintendo Direct, Nintendo plans to host various fan events across the globe. In North America, fans can attend events in New York from April 4 to 6, Los Angeles from April 11 to 13, Dallas from April 25 to 27, and Toronto from April 25 to 27.

In Europe, events will be held in Paris from April 4 to 6, London from April 11 to 13, Milan from April 25 to 27, Berlin from April 25 to 27, Madrid from May 9 to 11, and Amsterdam from May 9 to 11. Additionally, Nintendo will visit Melbourne from May 10 to 11, Tokyo from April 26 to 27, Seoul from May 31 to June 1, and Hong Kong and Taipei at later dates.
