Point-And-Click Mystery Game The Darkside Detective Is Now Out, Along With Its Sequel A Fumble in the Dark

Akupara Games has been prolific lately, releasing several titles. Following their recent deck-builder, Zoeti, comes The Darkside Detective, a puzzle game, and its sequel, The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark (both released simultaneously!).

Exploring the Darkside Detective Universe

The game unfolds on a gloomy, fog-laden night in Twin Lakes, a city where the strange, supernatural, and absurd are commonplace. Players control Detective Francis McQueen and his partner, the endearingly clumsy Officer Patrick Dooley, as they tackle nine quirky cases for the underfunded Darkside Division of the Twin Lakes Police Department. Expect hilarious and bizarre scenarios, continuing into the equally witty sequel, A Fumble in the Dark.

These point-and-click adventures offer a diverse range of challenges, from time travel mysteries and tentacled horrors to uncovering carnival secrets and battling mafia zombies. See the action for yourself in the trailer below!

Ready to Investigate?

The game is a playful homage to pop culture, referencing classic horror films, sci-fi shows, and buddy cop movies. Case titles alone hint at the quirky nature of the gameplay: Malice in Wonderland, Tome Alone, Disorient Express, Police Farce, Don of the Dead, Buy Hard, and Baits Motel.

The game's humor permeates every pixel. The Darkside Detective is available on the Google Play Store for $6.99. A Fumble in the Dark can be played independently of its predecessor, also available on Google Play.
