Pokemon GO's Steely Resolve Event: Corviknight Arrives!

The highly anticipated Corviknight evolutionary line—Rookidee, Corvisquire, and Corviknight—finally debuts in Pokémon GO on January 21st during the Steely Resolve event! This addition significantly expands the game's Galar region Pokémon roster.

The arrival was initially hinted at in December 2024's Dual Destiny Season loading screen, showcasing Rookidee and Corviknight before their official announcement. The wait is over, however, with the Steely Resolve event running from 10 am on January 21st to 8 pm on January 26th (local time).

This event packs a punch! Beyond the Corviknight line's debut, players can expect:

• New Special Research: Unlocking new rewards within the Dual Destiny Season.
• Boosted Spawns: Increased encounter rates for ten Pokémon, including Clefairy, Paldean Wooper, and Carbink. Several of these have a chance to be Shiny.
• Magnetic Lure Module Bonus: Attract Pokémon like Onix, Beldum, Shieldon, and Rookidee.
• Shadow Pokémon Attack Change: Use Charged TMs to remove Frustration from Shadow Pokémon.
• Field Research Tasks: Complete tasks for additional rewards.
• A $5 Paid Timed Research: Offering exclusive rewards.

Event Duration: January 21st, 10 am – January 26th, 8 pm (local time)

Increased Wild Encounters: Clefairy, Machop, Totodile, Marill, Hoppip, Paldean Wooper, Shieldon, Bunnelby, Carbink, Mareanie ( denotes Shiny possibility)

Raids: One-Star, Five-Star (Deoxys, Dialga), and Mega Raids (Mega Gallade, Mega Medicham) featuring various Pokémon, some with Shiny potential.

2km Eggs: Shieldon, Carbink, Mareanie, Rookidee (* denotes Shiny possibility)

Special Event Moves: Evolving specific Pokémon during the event will grant them unique powerful moves. This includes Corviknight learning Iron Head.

GO Battle Week: Dual Destiny (January 21st – 26th):

• Increased Stardust Rewards: Earn 4x Stardust from battle wins.
• Increased Battle Sets: Play up to 20 sets per day (100 battles).
• Free Timed Research: Unlock Grimsley-inspired avatar shoes.
• Varying IVs: Pokémon encountered through GO Battle League will have more varied IV spreads.
