Pokemon Go Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres Dynamax Forms Will Be Available One Week at a Time

Get Ready for Dynamax Legendary Birds in Pokémon GO!

From January 20th to February 3rd, the legendary birds Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will appear in their Dynamax forms in Pokémon GO! This exciting event offers players the chance to encounter and capture these powerful Pokémon.

The Legendary Trio's Appearance:

The Dynamax legendary birds will be available in five-star Max Raids at Power Spots. Each bird will have a specific debut date:

• Dynamax Articuno: January 20th
• Dynamax Zapdos: January 27th
• Dynamax Moltres: February 3rd

Each bird will remain available for a full week following its initial appearance.

Legendary Flight Timed Research:

A special "Legendary Flight Timed Research" event will run concurrently, offering opportunities to catch Pokémon (some with increased Shiny rates!), earn Candy, and collect Max Particles. The research event schedule (in local time):

• Dynamax Articuno: January 17th, 10:00 am – January 20th, 7:00 pm (featuring Charmander, Beldum, and Scorbunny)
• Dynamax Zapdos: January 24th, 10:00 am – January 27th, 7:00 pm (featuring Drilbur, Cryogonal, and Grookey)
• Dynamax Moltres: January 31st, 10:00 am – February 3rd, 7:00 pm (featuring Squirtle, Krabby, and Sobble)

Victini Returns in Pokémon GO Tour: Unova:

Pokémon GO Tour: Unova is also making a comeback! While the in-person event is location-specific, all players globally can obtain a free Tour Pass. Upgrading to the Tour Pass Deluxe unlocks enhanced rewards and faster progression.

On February 24th, 2025, at 10:00 am (local time), the free Tour Pass will be available. The event concludes on March 2nd, 2025, at 6:00 pm (local time).

Tour Pass Deluxe benefits include an immediate encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Victini and the Lucky Trinket. The Lucky Trinket allows you to become Lucky Friends with another player for a single trade resulting in a Lucky Pokémon (boosted stats and reduced power-up costs).
