Pikipek Arrives in Pokémon Go November Community Day

While you're likely focused on tomorrow's Pokémon Go Wild Areas event in Nagasaki, Niantic is already planning ahead. They've just added a feathered friend to your November schedule. The next Community Day will showcase Pikipek, the small Woodpecker Pokémon from the Alola region, on November 30th from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time.

It's a simple and enjoyable event. Pikipek will appear frequently in the wild, featuring the typical increased chance of encountering a Shiny variant, with some even appearing against a special Tales of Transformation backdrop. Evolving Trumbeak during the event or within four hours after will give you a Toucannon that knows Beak Blast. This move deals 110 power in Trainer Battles and 125 in raids—a solid output for a regional bird.

The event bonuses follow the classic Community Day formula: triple XP for catching Pokémon, double Candy, and an improved chance to earn Candy XL for trainers level 31 and above. Lure Modules and Incense will last for three hours, and trades will cost less Stardust while allowing more trades through the evening. If you're still hunting for optimal stats or that hard-to-find Shiny, the extended Lure Module bonus will remain active until 9:00 PM, giving you extra time to build your collection.

A paid Special Research ticket will also be available for approximately $1.99, granting additional Pikipek encounters (including more with the special background), some Rare Candy XL, and a Premium Battle Pass. For collectors, Niantic is releasing an Ultra Community Day Box on the Pokémon Go Web Store at the same price, bundling three Rare Candies and an additional ticket.

With the Tales of Transformation season winding down, this event serves as a brief and enjoyable interlude before the next major migration begins.
