The final day of the Six Invitational is always a thrilling time for Rainbow Six Siege fans, as Ubisoft traditionally unveils major updates, including the introduction of new operators. This year, Ubisoft delighted fans by announcing Rauora, a fresh attack operator hailing from New Zealand.
Rauora's standout feature is the DOM launcher, a bulletproof shield (though susceptible to explosives) designed specifically for deployment in doorways. This innovative device comes with a trigger that can be activated by anyone, but with a strategic twist: it takes only one second for the attacking team to open it, whereas defenders must wait three seconds. This time difference could be a game-changer, especially in high-stakes scenarios where the defuser has been planted.

Alongside her unique gadget, Rauora brings the Reaper MK2 to Rainbow Six Siege—a fully automatic pistol equipped with a red dot sight and an enlarged magazine. For her primary weapon options, players can choose between the formidable M249 LMG or the precise 417 marksman rifle.
Enthusiasts can expect to test Rauora's capabilities on the test servers starting next week. However, it will be a bit longer before she joins the live version of the game, adding anticipation to her full release.
