Square Enix has recently launched the highly anticipated SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered across mobile and other platforms. Initially released on the PlayStation in 1999 in Japan and in 2000 in North America and Europe, this remastered version brings back the classic with enhanced visuals and additional content.
SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered Is Now Available on Android
SaGa Frontier 2 unfolds in the mystical world of Sandail, where magic operates through a phenomenon known as Anima. The narrative primarily revolves around two protagonists: Gustave, a member of the royal family who struggles with his inability to harness Anima, and William Knights, a youthful explorer from a lineage of diggers on a quest for ancient relics known as Quells.
Gustave's journey begins when he is exiled from the Kingdom of Finney due to his lack of magical ability, a significant disadvantage in his society. On the other hand, William's path is driven by the desire to uncover the truth behind his parents' demise and the enigmatic relic called the Egg, which has the power to influence minds.
In SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered, the original game's graphics have been upgraded to a higher resolution, enhancing the visual experience while preserving the charm of the watercolor backgrounds. The user interface has been redesigned to improve navigation while maintaining the classic feel of the original game.

What Else Is New?
In addition to the visual upgrades, the remaster introduces new storylines that seamlessly integrate with the original narrative. The combat system has been refined to include three distinct types of engagements: Party Battles, Duels, and Warfare. Party Battles follow a traditional RPG format, whereas Duels are intense one-on-one confrontations where strategic moves are crucial.
Warfare introduces a broader strategic element, offering large-scale clashes that demand different tactics from the player. This diversity in combat ensures that battles remain engaging and varied, steering clear of repetitive encounters.
The remastered version also reintroduces the glimmer system, a feature from the original game that allows characters to learn new techniques during combat. Additionally, the combo mechanic encourages players to chain attacks with their team, enhancing the strategic depth of the gameplay. Experience these enhancements by downloading SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered from the Google Play Store.
