This week, Best Buy is offering a massive discount on the official Asus ROG Ally Charger Dock, slashing its price by over 50%. Normally priced at $65, you can grab it now for just $29.99. This charger dock is not only perfect for the Asus ROG Ally, but users have also confirmed its compatibility with the Steam Deck. If you're in the market for a more traditional docking station, Amazon has reduced the price of the Anker 6-in-1 USB Hub and Docking Station to under $30.

The Asus ROG Ally Charger Dock is an essential accessory if you're looking to connect your ROG Ally to an external monitor and use additional peripherals. While the Asus ROG Ally comes with a basic charger, it doesn't include a docking station. The charger dock resembles a standard brick-style charger but is equipped with three ports instead of one. It features a USB Type-C output that supports up to 60W of Power Delivery, which is nearly the maximum charging rate of the ROG Ally. Additionally, there's a USB Type-A port for connecting a keyboard, mouse, or USB storage, and a 4K @ 60Hz HDMI 2.0 port for connecting to an external TV or monitor.

Also compatible with Steam Deck

You can also utilize this dock to charge your Steam Deck and display its video on a larger monitor or TV. The Steam Deck supports up to 38W of USB Type-C Power Delivery, well within the 60W output capacity of the charger. Compared to the official Steam Deck docking station, which costs $79, opting for the Asus charger will save you a significant amount. If you're specifically looking for a charger dock that doubles as a stand for your Steam Deck, the deal below might be more appealing to you.

Anker offers a docking station designed for both the Asus ROG Ally and Steam Deck, currently available for $29.74. This model includes a slot for your Steam Deck or ROG Ally, offering a range of enhanced features. It comes with a USB Type-C port that supports 100W of Power Delivery, a 1Gbps ethernet port, two USB Type-A ports with 5Gbps speed, an additional USB Type-C port at 5Gbps, and a 4K HDMI 2.0 port. It also features an integrated USB Type-C cable with a 90-degree connector for easy connection to your console. While the Anker docking station is larger than the Asus charger, it boasts superior build quality with an aluminum shell. Note that the slot is designed for a bare Steam Deck or ROG Ally; if you use a case, you may need to remove it for a proper fit.

A more budget-friendly version, featuring the same Z2 Go chip but with 16GB of RAM and your choice of Windows 11 or SteamOS, will be available in May 2025 for $599. Additionally, the Asus ROG Ally X, released in 2024, offers an enhanced gaming experience compared to the original ROG Ally.
