The developers of Schedule 1, a standout title on Steam, recently teased an exciting upcoming update featuring a new building, a Jukebox, and additional surprises. Fans can look forward to these additions as part of the next patch, which is nearing completion for open beta testing. While no official release date has been announced, the update will first launch on the beta branch for early access testers.
Upcoming Update Brings Fresh Features to the Game
In a recent Twitter (X) post on May 1st, TVGS developer Tyler shared a sneak peek of the upcoming changes. The images reveal a new building labeled "Stash and Dash," along with a mysterious Jukebox that players speculate will allow them to customize the game's soundtrack. Additionally, glimpses of an empty corridor hint at further developments within the game world.
To join the beta phase and access these updates early, players can navigate to their Steam settings for Schedule 1, select the "beta" option under Beta Participation, and choose the appropriate branch. For more detailed insights into the development process and future plans, the game's Trello board provides regular updates.
Vision for Future Map Expansions
Tyler also took to Twitch for his inaugural live stream last week, offering fans a behind-the-scenes look at his creative process and future ambitions for Schedule 1. During the session, he showcased 3D models and concept art for a potential map expansion. His vision includes introducing a "swampy, slummy area" and enhancing the upscale side of the town by adding more houses along the cliffs. Once completed, Tyler aims to focus on expanding the island located beyond the main map.
While these ambitious plans promise significant improvements to the game, they may take time to materialize given Tyler's status as a solo developer. Nevertheless, the community remains enthusiastic about the possibilities ahead.
