The initial Quest of the Wintervestigation chain requires players to find SGT. Winter and discuss his Wintervestigation. This series of Quests will have *Fortnite* players collaborating with Noir to uncover clues and locate new NPCs across the Chapter 6 map.

By viewing the Quest, you can track and pinpoint SGT. Winter’s location on the map even before entering a match. He can be found near a plane crash site atop a snowy mountain. Though not within a named location, the area is surrounded by Points of Interest (POIs) and is close to where Mariah Carey performs her iconic "All I Want for Christmas Is You." To reach him, look for the snowy mountain to the East of Warrior’s Watch and South of Foxy Floodgate.

How to Talk to SGT. Winter About His Wintervestigation in Fortnite

You can directly approach SGT. Winter and purchase the available loot. If you have enough gold bars, the Epic Holo Twister Rifle is a strong choice for the early game, with multiple in stock.

However, engaging in conversation with SGT. Winter takes time and leaves you vulnerable. Utilize the plane wreckage for cover; there are also chests nearby. Aim to land early at the site, directly on a chest, and use the wreckage for protection while taking out enemies who are likely to be equipped only with a pickaxe. With a good team and some luck from the loot chests, clearing the area should be manageable.
