Silent Hill f is an "Independent Work from the Series"
A Standalone Game That Can Be Enjoyed by Newcomers
Fans have been curious about where Silent Hill f fits within the series' timeline. However, a tweet from Konami on May 20 clarified that it is a standalone game separate from the main series, making it accessible to newcomers.
Even so, the developers have mentioned including subtle nods to previous games, as revealed during the Silent Hill Transmission event in March.
Connecting this game directly to the series' classic setting is challenging. The original Silent Hill games took place in the 1990s United States, while Silent Hill f is set in 1960s Japan. While Konami is departing from the classic locale, they have assured fans that the game will deliver the same signature psychological horror the franchise is known for.
Anime Expo 2025 Silent Hill f Panel
Fans won't have to wait much longer for new details, as Silent Hill f will be featured in a panel at the upcoming Anime Expo 2025. On May 21, Anime Expo announced on Twitter (X) that Konami will host "Unmasking SILENT HILL f," featuring Producer Motoi Okamoto, Scriptwriter Ryukishi07, and Composer Akira Yamaoka.
The panel is scheduled for July 4, from 3:15 PM to 4:05 PM at the Los Angeles Convention Center in California. Tickets for the event and panel registration are available through Anime Expo's official post. There has been no official word on whether the event will be live-streamed.
Konami has remained quiet regarding Silent Hill f's release date, and this event may offer clues about the launch window for the next installment in the psychological survival horror series. Silent Hill f is currently available to wishlist on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. For the latest news on Silent Hill f, check out our article below!
