Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's Snake-Themed Mass Outbreak Event
Trainers, get ready! Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are hosting a special Mass Outbreak event, celebrating the Year of the Snake, with boosted Shiny encounter rates! This limited-time event features increased appearances of Silicobra, Ekans, and Seviper.
The event, running from January 9th to January 12th, offers a fantastic opportunity to add these serpentine Pokémon to your collection, with a significantly higher chance of encountering their Shiny variants. This follows the recent Shiny Rayquaza Tera Raid event, a fitting end to the Year of the Dragon.
Event Details:
- Duration: January 9th (7:00 PM ET) – January 12th (6:59 PM ET)
- Featured Pokémon: Silicobra, Ekans, and Seviper
- Locations: Silicobra outbreaks across Paldea, Ekans in Kitakami, and Seviper in the Terarium.
- Levels: 10-65, depending on game progress.
- Shiny Odds: A 0.5% increase to the base Shiny rate before any multipliers are applied. Shiny Sandwich recipes can further enhance your chances. Use a Salty or Spicy Herba Mystica with a Green Bell Pepper for Ekans and Seviper, and a Ham instead of a pepper for Silicobra.
- Access: Requires an internet connection. Access the event via the in-game Poke Portal News.
This Snakelike Mass Outbreak event provides a great chance to complete your Pokédex and potentially snag some rare Shiny Pokémon. Remember to connect online to activate the event!
The future of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet beyond this event remains uncertain, particularly with the anticipated launch of Pokémon Legends: Z-A in 2025. The Pokémon Company's plans for the Year of the Snake are yet to be fully revealed.
