Sony PlayStation State of Play Scheduled for Next Week

Author : Gabriel Update:May 23,2025

Sony is gearing up to host its anticipated February PlayStation State of Play next week, as teased by reliable leaker NateTheHate. The announcement points to a broadcast during Valentine’s Day week, from February 10 to 14. This event promises to be a thrilling showcase of what's to come in the world of PlayStation gaming.

Let's dive into the speculation about what Sony might reveal. Among the first-party titles with a 2025 release window, Sucker Punch's Ghost of Yotei stands out. Fans are eagerly awaiting more gameplay footage and, perhaps, a specific release date. Bungie's PvP extraction shooter, Marathon, could also make an appearance, especially if it's gearing up for playtesting later this year. Haven Studios' debut, Fairgames, is another title to watch.

Naughty Dog's new IP, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, and Insomniac's Marvel's Wolverine are also on the radar, though it's more likely we'll see a fresh trailer for Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, slated for 2025. However, don't expect to see the live service games Sony recently canceled, including projects from Bend Studio and Bluepoint Games. Guerrilla Games' Horizon multiplayer project, however, might finally get its moment in the spotlight.

For potential third-party announcements, while Physint from Kojima seems a bit early, Phantom Blade Zero from S-Game could be a highlight. With Microsoft now publishing games on PlayStation, there's a chance we might see a release date for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle or even a surprise announcement about Halo coming to PlayStation.

Reflecting on last year's State of Play, which featured titles like Death Stranding 2, Physint, Rise of the Ronin, and several others, sets the stage for what we might expect this year. The excitement is building, and PlayStation fans are ready to see what surprises Sony has in store.
