"Star Wars, Mandalorian Join Monopoly Go"

Author : Connor Update:May 23,2025

The mobile gaming sensation Monopoly Go is set to ignite fans' imaginations with an exciting collaboration with Star Wars, adding a dash of science fiction flair to the classic real estate and dice-rolling game. This thrilling partnership was unveiled at the Star Wars Celebration in Japan and will run from May 1 to July 2. Drawing inspiration from the iconic events of the Skywalker Saga and the adventures of The Mandalorian, players can expect an immersive experience.

In a delightful twist, beloved Star Wars characters will receive charming cartoon makeovers, adding a playful touch to the game. The Star Wars season on Monopoly Go will introduce a Star Wars Go sticker album for players to complete, along with the thrill of podracing in the Mos Espa Grand Arena. Collectible in-game items such as tokens, shields, and emojis will further enhance the gaming experience. Imagine the surreal fun of seeing Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Princess Leia, Han Solo, R2D2, Yoda, Anakin Skywalker, and Qui-Gon Jinn mingling with the iconic Mr. Monopoly, also known as Rich Uncle Pennybags.

This isn't the first time Monopoly Go has ventured into crossover territory. Last September, the game featured a Marvel-themed event, where Spider-Man, Wolverine, and the Avengers joined the Monopoly world, captivating fans with their appearances.

Adding to the excitement, publisher Scopely recently expanded its portfolio by acquiring the teams behind Pokémon GO, Pikmin Bloom, and Monster Hunter Now from Niantic, signaling a robust growth in their gaming ventures.

According to a report from our sister site GamesIndustry.biz, Monopoly Go has been crowned the top game for consumer spending in 2024, amassing a staggering $2.47 billion. This financial success is complemented by impressive user engagement, with 150 million downloads and 10 million daily users reported by Scopely in 2024.
