Recommended Elemental Attack: Water
Effective Status Effects: Poison (2x), Sleep (2x), Paralysis (3x), Blastblight (2x), Stun (2x), Exhaust (-)

Stun the Monster
One of the most challenging aspects of battling Ebony Odogaron is its incredible speed, which can make the fight feel overwhelming. To counteract this, stunning the monster is crucial. You can use a nearby Flashfly to temporarily immobilize it or craft Flash Pods for multiple stuns, giving you precious moments to attack without being rushed.
Bring Teammates
Taking on Ebony Odogaron solo can be a daunting task, with much of your time spent dodging its relentless attacks. To even the odds, consider bringing teammates into the fray. Send out an SOS signal to rally other players or rely on NPCs for support. These allies can serve as a buffer, drawing the monster's attention away from you and allowing you to focus on evasion until it's safe to strike back.
Pull Down Entangled Rocks
During your encounter, you'll come across an area with Entangled Rocks hanging above. Using your slinger to bring them down can stun Ebony Odogaron for a few seconds, providing a critical window for attack. Remember, this tactic can only be used once per fight, so make it count. Additionally, you can deploy Pitfall and Shock Traps for two more chances to immobilize the beast.
Beware of Dragonblight
Beyond its physical prowess, Ebony Odogaron can inflict Dragonblight, which, while not causing direct harm, will hinder your ability to deal elemental or status effect damage. To counter this, carry Nulberries to cleanse the effect or equip decorations with Level 3 Dragon Resistance or Blight Resistance to mitigate its impact.
Inflict Paralysis
Paralysis is a game-changer in this fight. By inflicting Paralysis on Ebony Odogaron, you can temporarily halt its movements, simplifying the battle. If the monster is positioned over roots when knocked down, it might become further entangled, granting you additional time to inflict damage.
Aim for the Head
The head of Ebony Odogaron is its most vulnerable spot, boasting a 3-star weakness. Targeting this area will maximize your damage output, though it requires you to be in a risky position. Alternatively, aim for the forelegs and tail to chip away at its health and potentially break its limbs, albeit with less efficiency.
