Rocksteady Studios has officially released the last major content update for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League with Season 4 Episode 8, marking the end of new content for this live-service game. Despite its initial release in February 2024 receiving largely negative feedback, Rocksteady announced in December 2024 that support for the game would cease following the January 14 patch. Players can now download the final patch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
The unexpected live-service model of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is widely considered the reason for its quick decline. Just 10 months after launch, Rocksteady confirmed that Season 4 Episode 8 would be the game's swan song. Although no further content will be added, the game's online features will continue to function, allowing players to enjoy the game with friends.
After a brief period of server downtime, the final update, Season 4 Episode 8: Balance, is now live. This update introduces an Infamy Set inspired by DC Super-Villain Libra, new Notorious weapons, and a final showdown with Brainiac in a new Mayhem mission. Additionally, there are numerous bug fixes and gameplay enhancements, including a reduction in XP requirements for Squad Levels.
Even after the release of Season 4 Episode 8, the game's servers will remain active. Thanks to an update from Season 4 Episode 7 in December, players can also enjoy the game offline, accessing the main campaign and all seasonal story missions without an internet connection. While Rocksteady has not announced plans to shut down the servers completely, the offline mode ensures continued playability.
For those who missed out on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League during its brief run, the game is now available on PlayStation Plus until February 3. Subscribers can also pick up The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Patch Notes for Season 4 Episode 8 Update
MEDIEVAL GENIUS
In Episode 8: Balance, dive deeper into the medieval Elseworld with new twists on familiar locations and entirely new areas. Challenge the fortified citadel of The Quarry to defeat the tyrant Brainiac. The Arena offers the perfect setting for jousting tournaments or interdimensional battles, while the awe-inspiring statues of King Jor-El and Queen Lara Lor-Van embody the spirit of chivalry and honor.
LIBRA INFAMY SET
Episode 8 introduces an Infamy Set inspired by Libra, the DC Super-Villain obsessed with balance. Libra’s set applies stacks of Scales of Libra to enemies, increasing both the damage they deal and receive by 50% per stack. This set encourages a high-risk, high-reward playstyle that thrives on dynamic combat.
NOTORIOUS WEAPONS
Complementing Libra’s set, The Silencer’s Complete Silence offers a 200% damage boost against enemies affected by Scales of Libra. Its Alt-Fire mode delivers 1,000% bonus damage and creates a Silencer Zone, reducing enemy damage by 100% within the zone, making it ideal for crowd control.
Doctor Sivana’s Magic Bullets are perfect for mass destruction, piercing through enemies and applying Scales of Libra while potentially electrifying them. Strategic positioning can lead to devastating results against multiple foes.
Chronos’ Equilibrium amplifies the glass cannon approach, boosting damage by 25% for every 1% of missing Shield, pushing players into the heart of the battle for maximum impact.
