NetherRealm and WB Games have unveiled the official gameplay trailer for T-1000, set to join Mortal Kombat 1 next Tuesday. This character stands out with his unique ability to transform into liquid metal, allowing him to creatively dodge projectiles. Fans of Kabal, who is not featured in this game, will likely find T-1000 appealing, as some of Kabal's iconic weapons and moves have been integrated into Mortal Kombat 1.
The trailer also pays homage to the classic film "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" with several notable references. One such moment recreates the famous scene where T-1000 wags his finger—a gesture that's actually banned in the NBA for being unsportsmanlike. Additionally, T-1000 engages with Johnny Cage, inquiring about John Connor's whereabouts.
Alongside T-1000, the trailer introduced Madam Bo, who will be added to the game simultaneously. In a striking Fatality, T-1000 showcases his liquid metal transformation, efficiently replacing his victim to complete his mission.
No further announcements were made by WB Games, but rumors are circulating that this might be the final wave of new content for Mortal Kombat 1. Speculation suggests that a new game announcement could be on the horizon, though no official confirmation has been provided yet.
