Tuxedo Labs has exciting news for fans of their popular sandbox game, Teardown. The developers have announced the introduction of a multiplayer mode, fulfilling a long-standing goal and a top request from the community. This eagerly anticipated feature will first be available on Steam's Experimental Branch, allowing players to dive into early testing and provide valuable feedback.
Alongside the multiplayer update, Tuxedo Labs is set to release the Folkrace DLC, which promises to enrich the single-player experience. This expansion will introduce new maps, vehicles, and a range of racing challenges. Players can look forward to competing in diverse events, earning rewards, and customizing their vehicles to gain the upper hand on the tracks.
The multiplayer mode will initially be accessible through an "Experimental" branch on Steam, enabling players to test the new feature and share their insights. The developers are particularly keen to hear from the modding community, as updates to the game’s API will allow modders to adapt their creations for multiplayer use. Once the testing phase is successfully completed, multiplayer will become a permanent fixture in Teardown.
Looking to the future, Tuxedo Labs has teased that two more major DLCs are in development, with more details to be revealed later in 2025. This roadmap promises to keep the Teardown community engaged and excited about what's to come.
