Bam Margera, the iconic skateboarder and Jackass star, will indeed be featured in the upcoming Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, despite his initial absence from the announced roster. This exciting news was shared by skateboarding media expert Roger Bagley during an exclusive members-only livestream on The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.
According to Bagley, the game was "already done" when Tony Hawk himself intervened, requesting Activision to include Margera. Despite being told it was impossible, Hawk's persistence paid off, ensuring Margera's inclusion. IGN has reached out to Activision for an official statement on this development.
Margera, known for his appearances in the Jackass series and his professional skateboarding career, has faced significant personal challenges with substance abuse and legal issues, including a notable firing from Jackass Forever and a restraining order filed against him by director Jeff Tremaine. Despite these hurdles, Margera's recent skateboarding session with Tony Hawk, which was shared publicly, sparked rumors of his return to the game.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 is set to launch on July 11, 2025, and will be available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developed by Iron Galaxy, the game has overcome significant challenges, including the near-cancellation following Activision's merger of previous developer Vicarious Visions with Blizzard.
