Another week brings more volatility to the Pokémon TCG single card market as trainers eagerly await the release of Destined Rivals. Fortunately, the Black Bolt and White Flare preorders at the Pokémon Center managed to evade a bot takeover this time.
The most significant price drop this week was for Greninja ex 214/167, which has plummeted by nearly 50% since the beginning of the year. We're also witnessing notable price reductions across cards from the Obsidian Flames and 151 expansions. Conversely, Dragonite V from Evolving Skies has seen a remarkable increase, nearly doubling in value, and its artwork has always been underappreciated.
Charizard V Alt Art continues to impress with its depiction of a battle against Venusaur, and its value is gradually rising. Rayquaza VMAX Alt Art, on the other hand, has skyrocketed, gaining an additional $100 in value since the start of the year. Let's explore the rest of the week's biggest Pokémon TCG price climbers and crashers.
Pokémon Card Crashes

While Sword and Shield era Pokémon cards are on the rise, Scarlet and Violet series cards are experiencing a return to more reasonable prices.
Alakazam ex SIR from 151 is a stunning card that's now 34% cheaper than at the beginning of March. It's a must-have for any collection.
Bulbasaur, my first starter Pokémon from Pokémon Blue, holds a special place in my heart. The Bulbasaur IR has dropped a significant 52% since mid-March, making it an affordable gem to add to your collection.
From Obsidian Flames, Ninetales IR has always been a standout. With a 40% price drop since February, it's now available for a reasonable $18.17.

Charizard ex SIR from Obsidian Flames boasts a stunning stained glass look in its Tera form, making it a true showstopper. Though its price hasn't dropped significantly since March, every dollar saved counts.
The biggest crasher this month is Greninja ex SIR, which was once poised to be the most expensive Scarlet and Violet era card. However, Prismatic Evolutions has shifted the market's focus. It's still an impressive card holding strong at $275, but that's a far cry from its $411.62 price at the end of February.
Pokémon Card Climbers

Charizard V Alt Art captures a dynamic battle with Venusaur, showcasing an engaging angle that sets it apart from static card designs. It's gained $40 since January and could surpass $200 before the year ends.
