Navigating the Garbage Zone in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl
After leaving the Lesser Zone, your journey continues into the challenging Garbage area. Because of the distance from your starting base, encountering traders won't happen immediately. Progressing the main storyline is key to accessing key locations.
Finding Traders in the Garbage Zone
The Slag Heap, a central hub in the Garbage zone, isn't immediately marked on your quest. Completing the "Answers Come at a Price" quest unlocks its location. This involves visiting the Detention Center and the Laboratory before meeting Scar. While you can explore the Slag Heap earlier (it's north of the laboratory), the main quest will eventually lead you there.
Two traders await within:
- Boozer: Located near the entrance, Boozer runs a bar and offers food, drinks, and general trading services. He'll buy a wide range of items.
- Huron: Found to the left and through an open door on your right, Huron specializes in weapons and gear. His room also houses your personal stash. Speaking with him also triggers a side quest.
Additional Note: While not a trader, a technician named Diode is located at the back of the left corridor. Interacting with him is necessary for main quest progression.
