Wingspan Asia Edition Arrives Earlier Than Anticipated

Monster Couch has officially announced the launch date for the highly anticipated Wingspan: Asia Expansion. The expansion will arrive simultaneously on all digital platforms on June 16th, 2025. This marks the third major expansion for the digital version of the acclaimed board game, following the European and Oceania editions.

A New Ornithological Adventure Awaits

This new expansion immerses players in the diverse and vibrant birdlife of Asia. It introduces numerous species, each with unique characteristics and strategic value, adding 90 new bird cards to the already substantial deck.

Alongside the birds, the expansion features 13 new bonus cards. Two of these cards are specifically designed for Automa, the game's solo play mode. In keeping with Wingspan's tradition, every card includes detailed information and fascinating facts about the birds it represents.

The most significant new feature in Wingspan: Asia Expansion is the Duet Mode. Designed for two players, this mode revolves around a shared Duet Map. Players compete by placing tokens to claim habitat spaces while working towards rotating round objectives.

What's the Visual Style of Wingspan Asia?

In a word: stunning. The expansion presents four new backgrounds inspired by various Asian landscapes, along with eight new player portraits that reflect the region's distinct aesthetics and cultures. You can see a preview in the official date announcement trailer below.

Every game session is enhanced by an atmospheric and personal touch, thanks to four new music tracks composed by Paweł Górniak. A refreshed tutorial is also included for newcomers to the game.

Wingspan: Asia Expansion will launch simultaneously on Android, iOS, Steam, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation, with a consistent price of $11.99 across all platforms.
