Fresh off the heels of our successful Pocket Gamer Connects event in London, we had the unique opportunity to dive into some exciting new game releases. One standout that caught the attention of our editor, Dann Sullivan, was the intriguing word-based puzzle game, WordPix.
WordPix offers a straightforward yet engaging gameplay experience. Players are presented with a series of images and tasked with deducing the corresponding words. For example, an image of a scaly reptile might lead you to guess "Lizard," while a particular rodent could hint at "Capybara." While the concept isn't overly complex, it's a fantastic way to exercise your brain on the go.
To keep things fresh, WordPix includes a variety of game modes. You can enjoy solo play, dive into multiplayer challenges, or take on "Beat the Boss" to test your skills against the computer. Additionally, daily challenges such as "Word of the Day" and "Quote of the Day" keep you coming back, while a Sudoku mode adds an extra layer of puzzle-solving fun.

It's easy to see why WordPix grabbed Dann's attention. The game boasts a simple, clean, and readable UI and graphics, an accessible concept that gradually increases in difficulty, and a range of modes to keep players engaged. As WordPix gears up for its global launch later this year, we're hopeful the developers will introduce more features to attract an even broader audience. Currently, players in the US and UK can enjoy WordPix on iOS, while UK Android users can also join in on the fun.
