Unveiled: Evil Finale Arrives in Baldur

Baldur's Gate 3 is brimming with hidden secrets, gradually unveiled by dedicated players and dataminers. One such discovery, a particularly grim ending, has resurfaced during testing of the game's eighth major patch. This ending allows the player character to forcefully remove and destroy the illithid parasite, leaving the character unharmed. A subsequent choice presents itself: depart with companions, or leave them behind. Many believe this previously unearthed ending will be fully implemented with the eighth patch's release.

Recent layoffs at BioWare, the studio behind Dragon Age: The Veilguard, have fueled industry-wide conversations about job security. In contrast, Michael Daus, Larian Studios' publishing director, remains active on social media, addressing these concerns. He emphasizes the importance of valuing employees and advocates for leadership to shoulder the burden of financial difficulties rather than resorting to widespread layoffs between or after project completion. He stresses the critical role of retaining institutional knowledge for future projects' success.
