Explore Spider-Woman's Origins in New Marvel Contest of Champions Update

April is shaping up to be an electrifying month for fans of Marvel Contest of Champions (MCOC), with a thrilling lineup of new content and champions set to debut. Leading the charge is the much-anticipated addition of Spider-Woman, who will make her entrance into the game on April 17th. Born as Jessica Drew, her origin story is as compelling as her powers. After being exposed to uranium as a child, her father, a brilliant geneticist, attempted to save her by injecting her with a serum derived from spider DNA. This experimental treatment not only saved her life but also granted her extraordinary spider-like abilities, transforming her into Spider-Woman.

Before Spider-Woman swings into action, players will be introduced to Lumatrix on April 9th. A creation of the Founders, Lumatrix is designed as a formidable assassin, equipped with dazzling light-based powers that allow him to infiltrate and eliminate targets with deadly precision.

What Else Is New in MCOC?

On the narrative front, Act 9 Chapter 2, titled "Inquisition," unfolds with intense developments. Carina suffers grave injuries from an encounter with Ouroborus forces, while Doctor Doom forms an unlikely alliance with the Fantastic Four to combat the spreading corruption of the Chronoserpent. A new villain, Lotan, also emerges to challenge the heroes.

Adding to the excitement, a new Event Quest, "Spy Games," kicks off on April 9th and will run until May 7th. Black Widow takes the lead in investigating the enigmatic Eidols and enlists the help of Spider-Woman to unravel the mystery.

The return of Dark Phoenix in the Side Quest "Dark Bounties" offers players another chance to engage with this powerful character. Dark Phoenix has placed bounties on various champions, and players must track them down to claim their rewards.

The Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector also makes a comeback, challenging players to assemble their strongest Saga champions to earn Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones.
