Quick Start Guide:

Pydroid 3 requires at least 250MB of free internal memory; 300MB or more is recommended. Additional space may be needed when using heavy libraries like scipy.

To use the debugger, simply tap on a line number to set a breakpoint.

Kivy apps are automatically detected via:
import kivy, from kivy, or #Pydroid run kivy.

PySide6 is detected via:
import PySide6, from PySide6, or #Pydroid run qt.

The same detection method applies to sdl2, tkinter, and pygame.

Use #Pydroid run terminal to force terminal mode—especially useful for matplotlib, which defaults to GUI mode.

Why Are Some Libraries Premium-Only?

Certain libraries required extensive porting efforts, so we collaborated with a third-party developer under an agreement that grants premium users exclusive access to his optimized forks. If you're interested in contributing free, open-source versions of these libraries, feel free to contact us.

Note: Since Pydroid 3's primary goal is Python 3 education, priority is given to porting scientific and learning-focused libraries. System-related packages are only included when required as dependencies.

Some binaries in the Pydroid 3 APK are licensed under (L)GPL. Source code is available upon request via email.

Pure Python GPL libraries included in Pydroid 3 are considered distributed in source form.

Pydroid 3 does not bundle any GPL-licensed native modules (e.g., GNU readline) to prevent automatic imports. These can be installed separately using pip.

Code samples provided in the app are free for educational use, with one restriction: they or their derivatives may not be used in competing products. If you're unsure whether your project is affected, please seek permission via email.
