Ahead of the much-anticipated release of Star Wars Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles, Aspyr has unveiled that the beloved yet controversial character, Jar Jar Binks, will be playable in the game. Originally released in 2000, Jedi Power Battles captured the essence of Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace with its iconic characters and settings. Aspyr aims to reignite the nostalgia by re-releasing the game with enhanced features, including the ability to customize lightsaber colors and support for cheat codes. Among the new additions, Jar Jar Binks stands out as a surprising yet exciting choice for fans.

Aspyr made the announcement through a captivating new trailer that showcases Jar Jar Binks in action. The trailer features the Gungan wielding a large staff as he battles various enemies, accompanied by his characteristic chaotic voice lines. While some fans might have fantasized about Jar Jar wielding a red lightsaber and embodying the fan-theory persona of Darth Jar Jar, he remains true to his original, bumbling self in the game. Jar Jar Binks will be available to play from the launch date of Jedi Power Battles on January 23, and fans can already pre-order the game.

Notably, Jar Jar is not the only Gungan character, as the Gungan Guard will also be playable.
