People Can Fly Joins Sony for New Project Delta

Author : Dylan Update:Apr 22,2025

People Can Fly, the acclaimed developer behind Bulletstorm and co-developer of Gears of War: E-Day, has entered into an exciting new agreement with Sony Interactive Entertainment. This partnership will see them working on a new title, codenamed Project Delta. According to a report from People Can Fly, Project Delta is designated as a work-for-hire game, though details about the project itself remain under wraps.

Currently, People Can Fly is juggling an impressive lineup of projects, each with its own unique codename. Alongside Project Delta, they are working on Project Gemini in collaboration with Square Enix (which unfortunately saw 30 developers laid off last year), Project Echo with Krafton, and Project Red, which also seems to be linked with Sony. Additionally, they recently announced that Project Bison would be their final venture into VR gaming.

The studio faced some challenges recently, having to suspend work on Project Victoria last December and scale down efforts on Project Bifrost. Earlier in April, they made the tough decision to cancel Project Dagger, an action-adventure game that was being developed in partnership with Take-Two Interactive.

Despite these adjustments, People Can Fly remains busy with a total of eight known projects in development. This includes the highly anticipated Gears of War: E-Day, developed in partnership with The Coalition, though a release date for this title has not yet been announced. Meanwhile, the game developed with Square Enix, Project Gemini, is slated for release in 2026.
