"Devil May Cry Anime Release Date Announced"

Author : Hannah Update:Apr 16,2025

Exciting news for fans of the Devil May Cry series: the long-awaited anime adaptation is set to premiere on Netflix on April 3. This eagerly anticipated series, helmed by Castlevania's Adi Shankar and brought to life by the acclaimed Studio Mir, responsible for hits like The Legend of Korra and X-Men '97, has finally unveiled its release date through a thrilling teaser on X. The teaser, fittingly set to Limp Bizkit's iconic sound, perfectly captures the high-energy vibe fans can expect.

First announced in 2018, the Devil May Cry anime promises an eight-episode first season. While the plot remains shrouded in mystery, the series seems to center around the iconic character Dante, drawing from the narrative of the first three games rather than Devil May Cry 5. However, any direct connections to the game series are yet to be confirmed. Fans will be thrilled to know that Johnny Yong Bosch, who lends his voice to Nero in the video games, will be voicing Dante in the anime.

The last installment in the Devil May Cry game series was Devil May Cry 5, released in 2019. This game marked a triumphant return for the franchise, which had been on a bit of a break since the 2013 release of DmC: Devil May Cry. As a standout action game, it's highly recommended, especially for those who have been enjoying titles like Ninja Gaiden Black 2.
