FortiToken Mobile: Your Secure Multi-Factor Authentication App

FortiToken Mobile is a mobile application that generates one-time passwords (OTPs) for multi-factor authentication (MFA). This OATH-compliant app uses both time-based and event-based OTP generation, providing a highly secure and easy-to-manage solution for strong authentication. It requires a compatible server/service for OTP validation, such as FortiOS, FortiAuthenticator, or FortiToken Cloud.

Privacy and Security:

Your privacy is protected. FortiToken Mobile cannot access or modify sensitive phone settings, such as taking pictures or videos, recording audio, reading or sending emails, or accessing your browsing history. It requires your explicit permission for notifications and any setting changes. Remote wiping of your device is not possible. The app only accesses your OS version to ensure compatibility. Sensitive data, like email addresses and token seeds, is only entered during manual token installation, third-party token setup, or token transfers.

Required Permissions:

While FortiToken Mobile respects your privacy, certain permissions are necessary for its operation:

• Camera Access: For scanning QR codes during token activation.
• TouchID/FaceID: For enhanced app security.
• Internet Access: To activate tokens and receive push notifications.
• Email Access (Send Feedback): To automatically populate the sender field when sending feedback.
• Internal File Sharing: To attach files when sending email feedback.
• Prevent Sleep Mode: To prevent data corruption during internal database upgrades.
