Netflix to Drop Clash of Clans Animated Show

Netflix and Supercell have revealed plans to expand the Clash gaming universe with an animated series based on Clash of Clans and Clash Royale.

Currently in pre-production, the series will "capture the chaotic energy of the games," according to Netflix's announcement. The plot centers on "an ambitious yet overwhelmed Barbarian who must unite a ragtag team to protect their homeland while navigating the ridiculous politics of warfare."

The official Clash of Clans social channels celebrated the news enthusiastically. "Sound the alarm, raise your flags, and fortify your defenses—Clash is coming to @Netflix!" they posted, alongside a playful teaser featuring developers announcing the project via group FaceTime. "Get ready for an animated adventure starring your favorite mustachioed warrior and his boar-riding companions. Full speed ahead!"

Netflix executives expressed excitement about this fresh take on the franchise. "For over ten years, Clash has dominated mobile gaming with its perfect blend of humor, action, and iconic characters—ideal for animation," said John Derderian, VP of Animation.

"Collaborating with Supercell's talented team, Fletcher Moules, and Ron Weiner, we're translating the franchise's signature chaos and charm into an exciting new format. Both longtime fans and newcomers will love this wild ride."

While the Clash animated series remains in early development without a confirmed release date, Netflix continues expanding its video game adaptations. Following critical successes like Arcane (League of Legends) and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, the platform has produced numerous game-based shows including Resident Evil, Tekken: Bloodline, and Castlevania, among others.
