Remedy Entertainment's Alan Wake 2 receives a substantial Anniversary Update launching October 22nd, coinciding with the release of the Lake House DLC. This free update significantly enhances accessibility, incorporating player requests for quality-of-life improvements.
The update introduces a comprehensive "Gameplay Assist" menu, offering a range of options for customized gameplay experiences. These include toggles for quick turns, automated Quick Time Events (QTEs), simplified button inputs for various actions (weapon charging, healing, Lightshifter use), player invulnerability, immortality, one-hit kills, and unlimited ammo and flashlight batteries.
Beyond gameplay adjustments, the Anniversary Update boasts expanded accessibility settings. Players can now invert the horizontal axis and experience enhanced DualSense functionality on PlayStation 5, featuring haptic feedback for healing items and throwable objects. Remedy Entertainment expressed gratitude to its fanbase for their continued support and feedback, which directly influenced the creation of this update.
