Pre-orders are now open in Japan, with shipments anticipated in February.
The Alarmo's launch generated a mixed response from fans. While the unique alarm clock has proven popular, many expressed disappointment, prioritizing news about the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 and upcoming game releases. The company has remained relatively silent on both fronts, despite persistent rumors and leaks.
The upcoming wider release of Alarmo will alleviate previous purchase limitations. Although specific dates and retailers remain unannounced, major electronics stores like Target, Walmart, and GameStop are likely candidates. Currently, the Alarmo is available for purchase on Nintendo's website (requiring a Nintendo Switch Online account).
The shift from a lottery system to standard pre-orders in Japan suggests Nintendo has secured sufficient supply. However, the delay in Japanese retail availability until after the pre-order fulfillment in February raises questions about potential supply chain challenges or strategic inventory management on a global scale. The company has yet to clarify this.
