Last month, Tencent and Level Infinite made a significant announcement regarding Alchemy Stars, a mobile game that debuted in June 2021. The game is set to transition from its live service model to an offline version, allowing players to continue enjoying the story even after the official shutdown.
When Is the Game Wrapping Up Its Services?
Alchemy Stars will conclude its live service on January 24th, 2025. In preparation for this transition, the developers are scheduling maintenance on January 10th from 4:00 to 9:00 GMT to deploy version 1.43.0. It's crucial for players to update their game post-maintenance to enable the local data save feature, which is essential for preserving your progress. You'll find a data save button on the main page; tap it to navigate to a page where you can secure your user data.
Remember, you can save your data multiple times, but this option will only be available until January 24th at 4:00 GMT. Post this deadline, any unsaved data will be lost permanently.
Once Alchemy Stars shifts to its offline edition, no further updates will be released. Additionally, if you delete the app, you won't be able to reinstall it. The offline version will allow you to explore your saved data, replay the story, and upgrade units.
Having an offline version is certainly a better alternative to a complete shutdown. What are your thoughts on this move? Make sure to gear up for the offline version and download the game from the Google Play Store before it's gone for good.
