Ani-May on Crunchyroll: Weekly New Releases Including Corpse Party and Crayon Shin-chan

Author : Evelyn Update:May 08,2025

Crunchyroll's Ani-May event is just around the corner, bringing a fresh wave of excitement for fans of cult Japanese releases. Starting April 30th, Crunchyroll Game Vault will add a new release to its service every week throughout May, offering something new for everyone.

Kicking off the celebration is the iconic Square Enix game, Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth. Available from April 30th, this enhanced version invites players to embody the spirit guardian Lenneth, tasked with recruiting fallen heroes for the ultimate battle of Ragnarok in a Norse mythology-inspired world.

But the fun doesn't stop there. Throughout May, Crunchyroll Game Vault will continue to expand its offerings with titles like the cult-classic horror RPG Corpse Party, the slice-of-life adventure Shin Chan: Shiro and the Coal Town, and the survival horror game White Day, which is set to make its mobile debut.

ytAni-maytedWhile we've highlighted some of the standout releases, there are more surprises in store. To discover these additional titles, you'll need to keep an eye on the Crunchyroll Game Vault. Unlike other streaming services such as Netflix, which have faced challenges in capturing the gaming market, Crunchyroll has successfully carved out a niche for Eastern imports that appeal to a cult audience.

With a library boasting over 50 releases, Crunchyroll Game Vault is on track for even more growth. If you're a subscriber, make sure to check out all the exciting new releases coming this May.

For those interested in exploring other options, Netflix also offers a selection of remarkable indie games exclusively available on their platform. Dive into our list of the top 10 best games currently available on Netflix for more gaming inspiration.
