ARK: Survival Ascended's Extended Content Roadmap Unveiled

Studio Wildcard has recently unveiled an expansive content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, extending through late 2026. This ambitious plan outlines a significant evolution for the remastered survival crafting game, initially released in early access in November 2023.

Key Highlights of the Roadmap:

• Unreal Engine 5.5 Upgrade (March 2025): This major technical update promises substantial performance improvements and the return of Nvidia's frame generation. It also lays the groundwork for individually downloadable DLC map packs, reducing the overall game size.

• New Maps and Creatures: The roadmap details a steady stream of new content, including both free and paid additions. This includes the free addition of Ragnarok Ascended and Valguero Ascended maps, alongside community-voted free creatures and several "Fantastic Tames" (new creatures with unique abilities). A new premium map will debut in June 2025, with details to be announced later.

• Genesis Remaster and Fjordur Ascended (2026): The Genesis expansions (Part 1 and Part 2) will receive the Ascended treatment, launching in April and August 2026 respectively, alongside installments of "Bob's True Tales." Fjordur Ascended will also be released as a free update in December 2026.
