Baldur’s Gate 3 Dev Larian Wants Your Help Testing Patch 8

Larian Studios announced a January launch for the Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 stress test, accessible via Steam on PC and consoles (Xbox and PlayStation). Mac and GOG users will not have access. Registration is open now.

Larian plans extensive testing to identify and resolve any instability or gameplay issues before the full release. They're specifically seeking player assistance in testing cross-platform play, a significant undertaking for a game of Baldur's Gate 3's scale. Players are encouraged to recruit friends or join groups via the Larian Studios Discord server for collaborative crossplay testing.

While Patch 8 marks the final major update, Larian reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing support for modders. Substantial future updates are promised, enhancing modding capabilities to empower players in crafting their own narratives. Since September's release of official mod tools, an impressive 70 million module downloads and over 3,000 mod uploads have been recorded.
