NCSoft has announced the end of service (EOS) for its multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA), Battle Crush. This is surprising, especially considering the game never reached its full, polished release. Following a global test in August 2023 and an early access release in June 2024, the game is shutting down just months later.
When is the Battle Crush EOS?
The game's servers will be shut down on November 29th, 2024. In-game purchases have already ceased. However, players who made in-app purchases between June 27th, 2024, and October 23rd, 2024, are eligible for a refund.
Android and Steam players can request refunds from December 2nd, 2024, to January 2025. Ensure you download any desired game data before November 28th, 2024, as the game will become inaccessible afterward.
Battle Crush's official website will remain online until May 30th, 2025, for any necessary support. Social media accounts and Discord will be shut down on January 31st, 2025.
Does it Surprise You?
The announcement of a game shutdown is always disappointing, especially after investing time and effort. Battle Crush players are understandably upset. However, those following the game's development likely anticipated this outcome.
The gameplay, while enjoyable, suffered from some shortcomings. The controls felt somewhat clunky, and the pacing could have been improved. While fun, Battle Crush lacked the polish needed for long-term success, ultimately leading to its EOS.
You can still download and play Battle Crush on the Google Play Store before the shutdown. Alternatively, check out our next article covering the story-driven quests in the Autumn Season of Black Desert Mobile.
