Battlefield's Release Window Confirmed by EA

Electronic Arts has confirmed a pre-April 2026 release window for the next Battlefield game, according to their recent financial report. While industry journalist Tom Henderson speculates on an October or November 2025 launch based on EA's historical release patterns, the company hasn't offered a more precise date.

Development is underway across four of EA's internal studios, with significant playtesting planned. A closed beta program is already underway, allowing participants to experience key game elements and provide valuable feedback for refinement before launch.

This announcement also clarifies the future of the Need for Speed franchise. Vince Zampella previously indicated that a new NFS title isn't imminent, prioritizing the development of this new Battlefield installment.
