Blasphemous, the critically acclaimed 2D platformer drawing inspiration from religious iconography and Spanish folklore, is now available on Android! This release includes all DLC, gamepad support, and a completely redesigned user interface optimized for mobile. An iOS release is slated for late February 2025.
The game plunges players into the grim, gothic world of Cvstodia, where they assume the role of The Penitent One, a warrior battling a malevolent curse known as The Miracle. Combat is brutal and unforgiving, pitting players against grotesque creatures born from a twisted blend of religious imagery and Spanish mythology. Expect repeated deaths – it's part of the experience!
Blasphemous' mobile version features a revamped UI and intuitive touch controls, while also offering Bluetooth gamepad compatibility for those who prefer a more traditional controller setup. All DLC is included in this mobile port.
iOS users will need to exercise patience, with the game's arrival expected in late February 2025. However, given the overwhelmingly positive reception from players and critics, the wait is likely worthwhile.
Mobile platformers can be a mixed bag, with touchscreen controls sometimes proving less than ideal for precise platforming. However, if you're confident in your skills, Blasphemous is a strong contender. For a broader selection, check out our curated list of the top 25 platformers for Android and iOS.
