Monster Hunter Wilds is set to release its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests that promote competition through fast clear times. In anticipation of this, Capcom has issued a strong warning against cheating and the use of external tools that could manipulate rankings.
In a recent post on their X/Twitter account, Capcom made it clear: "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts found in violation may face suspension or restrictions, including the inability to receive rewards from these quests."
Capcom further emphasized that participating in multiplayer hunts with cheaters could lead to invalid quest completion times and revoked rewards for all party members. They urged players to be cautious and avoid playing with those suspected of engaging in prohibited activities. Additionally, Capcom encouraged reporting any instances of cheating encountered during quests.
The new quests will offer cosmetic pendants as rewards, distributed to all participants, with additional rewards based on Completion Time and hunter ranking. This explains Capcom's strict stance on cheating, as it directly impacts the fairness and integrity of the reward system.
The Time-Based Competition Quests will be available with Title Update 1, accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja. Players must first complete a special tutorial mission to unlock the Grand Hub. Be sure to head there once Title Update 1 goes live tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds.
