Thunderful Group's recent financial report reveals a significant delay for the highly anticipated cyberpunk platformer, Replaced. Initially slated for a 2022 release, the game, developed by Sad Cat Studios, has faced multiple postponements, now projected to launch in 2026.
Previous announcements cited the game's unique development challenges as the reason for a 2025 release. However, this latest delay pushes the release date even further back. Despite the setbacks, Sad Cat Studios remains dedicated to delivering a high-quality product, acknowledging the considerable anticipation surrounding Replaced.
First unveiled in 2021 during Microsoft's E3 presentation, Replaced has generated substantial buzz. While Sad Cat Studios has yet to officially address this latest delay, they've provided periodic updates, including combat footage and a mini-game demonstration this past summer. The ongoing development, coupled with previous lay-offs at Thunderful Group, adds further intrigue to this long-awaited title.
