State of Decay 3 is unlikely to come out before 2026

Xbox insider Jez Corden recently hinted on the Xbox Two podcast that State of Decay 3's release is now projected for 2026. While Undead Labs initially aimed for a 2025 launch, Corden suggests an early 2026 release is more realistic.

He assures fans that development is significantly more advanced than previously perceived, although further specifics remain undisclosed. This news might disappoint some, but it's a more positive outlook compared to earlier rumors suggesting a 2027 launch.

June's trailer offered a glimpse into the game's post-apocalyptic world, showcasing intense gun battles against zombies and Mad Max-style vehicular combat. The narrative will unfold years after the initial apocalypse, focusing on human settlements battling the undead.

State of Decay 3 is slated for release on PC and Xbox Series consoles, marking a significant gap since its predecessor launched in 2018.
