Destiny Child is back! Originally launched in 2016 and archived in September 2023, this beloved title is getting a full revival under Com2uS, taking over development from ShiftUp.
A Fresh Start?
Com2uS and ShiftUp have partnered to create a brand-new Destiny Child experience – an idle RPG. Development is spearheaded by Com2uS subsidiary, Tiki Taka Studio (known for Arcana Tactics). While retaining the original's charm and iconic 2D art style, the gameplay will feature entirely new mechanics.
Remember the Memorial?
The original Destiny Child captivated players with its cute characters and dynamic real-time battles. Following its closure after almost seven years, ShiftUp released a memorial version, allowing players to revisit the game's assets.
This memorial app, while not fully functional, provides a nostalgic trip down memory lane, showcasing the beautiful character illustrations and allowing players to reconnect with their cherished Childs (though battles are unavailable). Access requires verification using previous account data, limiting access to those who played before the shutdown. You can still download it from the Google Play Store – at least until the new game launches.
